A SIM card at Bohol Airport may be convenient when a staffed seller and suitable plan are available, but stock, opening hours and offers can change. Travellers who need data immediately should prepare an alternative before flying.
A physical SIM can provide local service, while an eSIM avoids opening the phone or replacing the home SIM. Airport Wi-Fi is useful for a first message but does not cover the onward transfer.
NoveSIM travel plans are data-only and do not include a Philippine number, traditional calls or SMS. Internet calling and messaging apps work over data.
Quick answer: If buying at the airport, verify the total price, data, validity, registration requirement and activation before leaving the seller. For predictable arrival data, install a Philippines eSIM before departure.

- Whether the plan includes a local number.
- Registration documents and activation steps.
- Any hotspot or fair-use restrictions.
Physical SIM or eSIM?
A physical SIM can suit travellers needing a local number. An eSIM keeps the home SIM installed and can be prepared before arrival. Compare the wider options in the Philippines mobile internet guide.
Prepare the Bohol transfer
Save the accommodation address, pickup point and first route. Download the island area through the maps and navigation guide.
Activate before leaving arrivals
Test a webpage and message before moving away from support. For an eSIM, select it for data, enable roaming when required and use APN data.esim if necessary. Follow the arrival setup guide.
