A long stay in Panama needs a sustainable connection rather than one oversized travel allowance. Primary property internet, a mobile backup and any local-number requirement should be evaluated separately.
Several weeks also expose address-specific Wi-Fi, power and indoor mobile reception problems that a short hotel stay may hide.
NoveSIM Panama plans are data-only, so a local number and conventional calls require another service.
Quick answer: Verify Wi-Fi at the exact property, use mobile data for arrival and outages, then reassess after the first week. Compare a local SIM when a domestic number or longer renewable bundle has real value.

Recalculate after one normal week
Inspect per-app and hotspot use before renewing. The data estimator prevents buying an unnecessary monthly reserve.
When local service becomes useful
A Panamanian number or long domestic arrangement can justify the operator’s registration process. Compare this in the SIM guide.
Keep the installed eSIM as a fallback. If manual APN is required, use data.esim.
