How we calculate: minutes per day × typical data per minute for the chosen quality, plus a 20% buffer for app updates, background sync and maps that load more than expected. Wi-Fi time does not count, so enter only the time you will be on mobile data.
Sources: Netflix, YouTube, Spotify and Zoom publish official figures, which we use. Messaging, social media, maps and browsing have no official figures; we use typical measured averages. Real usage depends on the app version, video quality and signal.
