Your WhatsApp account uses the number you registered, while its internet connection can come from another SIM, an eSIM or Wi-Fi. The selected data line and the account’s registered number do not need to be the same.
You do not need to select Change Number merely because you add NoveSIM for travel data. WhatsApp’s guidance on numbers and SIMs explains that changing or swapping a SIM does not automatically change the account you are using.

WhatsApp Calls Are Internet Calls
